Description
My tribute to Star Raiders on the Atari 800 Computer. I took a couple of liberties to make it more interesting. In the real game you only have to engage two enemies at once. This was the first space campaign game I ever played.There is nothing more intimidating than being told your starbase is surrounded.
Simplistic by modern standards, but groundbreaking when it came out in 1979.

I wasn't aware one could steer the projectiles; you will have to tell me how it is done because like I say, I still play the game. I am doing a similar image myself; you have inspired me to have a go.

I spent entirely too many hours in front of that game. My first FPS space game. Did you know you could steer your projectiles ? I got pretty good at arcing my photons into distant enemies. One of Atari's best games. Nice work.

I used to play the game with the lights out in my front room. Firing photons was more atmospheric - I still play it on my PC.
