Due to the rapid increase in its popularity, Commander Zavala must cancel this week's session of "Knitting and Crochet: Bringing Beauty to a Darkened Age," as he does not have enough materials to provide for every student. He apologizes for any inconveniences this causes and encourages Guardians to attend other classes in lieu of his, including Tess Everis' phenomenal Inventory Management seminar and Suraya Hawthorne's motivational speaking course, aptly titled "You Just Never Quit."
To make up for the loss of this week's class, the Commander offers this short lecture:
"A single stitch does not make a shawl. Every piece is made of thousands of loops, all working together to create the whole. If one stitch is missing, the whole piece unravels.
"We come from many backgrounds. Humans, Exos, Awoken, from all corners of the system. Some of us were born into peace. Others awoke to war. Some have defended the City for centuries, while others are stilling learning about their new roles. No matter how different we are, we are still connected by the same yarn: the Traveler. It is our duty to protect the Light from whomever tries to snuff it out... no matter the cost.
"Next week, we will be learning how to knit your class sigil into a scarf -- a perfect gift for the Dawning or Crimson Days. I hope to see you all there.
