Description
A waveIn and out
With the moon
A pattern
That changes, repeats
Every month
Every year
It hurtles onward
Headlong, focused, uncaring
Then,
Afraid of it's deed,
Rushes back
A never ending cycle
For eternity
A musicians dream
Eternal rhythm
Like the hearts
That beat
Above and below
The waves' eternal surfaces
Natural, soothing
Ferocious yet calm
A wave
In and out
With the moon

Forget sixth grade. This works and should not be judged by when you did it, positive or negative. Because it is that good!

This is pretty good for 6th grade I like the repetition at the end. Interesting characterization of the waves.

Actually it's good not just for a 6th grade work, but for poetry in general. This might be one of my favorite of your poems. I wrote a poem that I really like a long time ago too... but it was in High School.
