I don't think I've ever spent this much time on a single artwork, probably the most complex one I've ever drawn!

This is an amazing piece! I love every part of it. The details - like the alchemist cards, the fact that of course Firis' plate is already empty and the background happenings- really add to it. The colours are nice and soft, making it pleasant to look at. And Sophie's face is perfect^^
also is that dunkelheit the stake they're playing for?

Thank you! I tried my best to make it lively and all the things going on took a really long time to draw, but maybe I could have done better at the composition! I wonder if it's clear why Sophie makes that face?
The Dunkelheit is mostly there for decoration as well as an anniversary feel (as it's a series staple, like the barrel in the background). I don't know how to feel about these characters gambling, but I realized that it probably looks like the stake of the match.
I guess that's harmless enough prize in the end if it's the case!

I want to play Atelier so bad! It looks so cute but I've never played! But I have so many games I need to complete first... >.>;; RPG's tend to pile up if you don't put a lot of time into completing them...

I can relate, I have so many single player games piled up! JRPGs especially just take forever to complete.
I haven't even finished two of the Atelier games I started I've really loved the series, though, so I hope you get to play it!
