Portrait I drew of Shining Force 3's Grace a couple of years ago - for some reason I hadn't uploaded it before now, despite it being one of my favourites. Many people keep portraits of loved ones on their desks at work... I have a cropped copy of this picture.

I was working on a tabletop strategy game featuring a load of the characters from my Shining Furce story concept, and took the opportunity to work on new portraits of the characers to use as game artwork. The game idea ultimately fell apart when I realised the mechanics leant too far towards a solitaire game (I found I didn't have a decent pool of anatagonists for a "Furce vs Foes" 2-player game) and got heavily bogged down with nuances on individual character skills and traits.

I shelved the idea, but it did kick of the first version of my Nine Sisters co-operative strategy game (which is still going through a mixture of big and small revisions, but has at least had completed versions for playtest groups and expos).

Drawn in 2B mechanical pencil, inked in black fibretip pen, coloured using watercolour pencils with tissue for smudging.
