I love tis tutorial but I encountered a problem. The picture in my custom box turns out super small, why is that?

CypherVisor In reply to AustriaUsagi [2012-11-10 16:36:51 +0000 UTC]

Well, you just need to take the image when the deviation box is not in the editing mode. That's all!

Is there one like this for gallery folders?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CypherVisor In reply to JM-Henry [2012-11-10 16:35:08 +0000 UTC]

Gallery folders? Well, that is gallery CSS coding. You need to skin your gallery folder using CSS for that.

CypherVisor In reply to UnhingedHick [2012-11-10 16:36:22 +0000 UTC]

I guess I have replied to you. You cannot use this in your gallery folders. That is completely different CSS coding that is required for gallery folders.

This is awesome ^^ Thank you very much for showing us how to use these
Would you happen to know how we could apply custom backgrounds to other widgets such as with the donate button and newest deviations? I tried using your method and it worked to an extent, but it doesn't work perfectly

This worked perfectly except for one thing. I pasted all the correct links for the picture but the picture still turns out really small. How to I make it bigger? Everything else is fine.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CypherVisor In reply to Kuroba-sama [2012-11-03 16:15:38 +0000 UTC]

Just take the image-link when it is not in the editing mode.

Again, I'm sorry to bother you. However, the deviation that I have put in the box turns out really small, but when I took the link thing when not in editing mode, it ended up really large. Do you know any way to choose how large the deviation appears in the box?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

CypherVisor In reply to brambleclaw33 [2012-11-03 16:16:11 +0000 UTC]

Just take the image-link when the widget is not in the editing mode.

If you actually read my comment, you would see that I said that I wasn't in editing mode.

Oops! Apologizes for that. Well, in that case it should not happen. Can you tell me how exactly did you take the link (step-by-step)?

I just used a custom box, so that I could use the :bigthumb#: code. Cause they never answered my questions.

CypherVisor In reply to LivelovelifeEleni [2012-09-30 16:02:39 +0000 UTC]

If you are getting your background then the background image link is correct. You just need to check the deviation image link. See if you are taking the direct-image link of the deviation correctly.

Heya I´ve got a question
Everything is working fine for me except when I add width and heigh to the picture which i wanted to put as my favourite deviation.
Its totally blurry :c Is there a way to make it sharp like it is in the normal mode?
Thx for ur answers <3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CypherVisor In reply to Zerucune [2012-09-30 16:01:24 +0000 UTC]

No you can't do that unless the image link of the image that you are taking is of high resolution. If you reduce a higher resolution image it will look good but if you stretch a lower resolution it will get blurry!

Hi, I copied everything corectly but the deviation comes out HUGE and half of it iscut off. How do I solve this???

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CypherVisor In reply to IndigoSparkles [2012-09-30 15:59:54 +0000 UTC]

Take the image link of the image which is small.

And to get rid of the cut off just add
tags at the bottom as many as you need..

Example..
