It was the night of the spirits in Norway, and everyone was gathered together in the wilderness around Vanaheim. Everyone had heard the news about creatures big and small seeming to be affected by some sort of spell that madet hem aggressive and behave unlike themselves. Helena joined a group of friends to try help Vanaheim by facing whatever was happening in the forest. Little did anyone knoe what was facing them, but luckily the Volurs were all busy trying to figure out how to break the spell. After setting out into the forest, they soon heard the deep, almost pained sounding growl of a dragon who, once they came closer, looked almost posessed by something. Its eyes crimson red, throwing its head from side to side as if trying to shake of something that was annoying it. All around it was strange creature who all seemed to take shape in the form of animals, but seemed not to be of flesh and blood. They had a transparent, almost fog-like appearance, with a smoke licking their silhouettes. Were they animal spirits that had returned from the other side? Or were they too affected by the unknown seidr turning them into shadow creatures? Helena held tighter on Erytheas reins, looking at the others, unsure what they were gonna do to help except using themselves as live bait distraction so at least vanaheim would be safe from a rampaging dragon. Watching from a respectful distance, they observed the dragon while putting together a plan how to handle the situation. They would all have to work in perfect symphony if they were to keep themselves, their horses and the people of Vanaheim from injuries. Somehow they had to defeat the shadow creatures that looked like it acted as a binder for the spell on the dragon; if they maybe killed all the shadow creatures, the spell would be weakened enough for the Volurs to break it properly? No one knew exactly what would work, but they did not have much choice but to try and og with learning by trial and error.
