I think its ok to use Pokemon whom havent been in PMD before, plus for me it made it more unique to use Pokemon that didnt get the chance to show up in PMD, and who knows? maybe one day we could see the Alola and Galar Pokemon in an actual PMD game. So my logic was that any starter would work as long as it felt nice to work with in the comic, hope this makes sense for ya, if you wanna see how I handled Scorbunny into a PMD story feel free to keep reading my dude, cheers

I was trying to draw Scorbunny running and first I was gonna give it Naruto or Sonic running vibes but then I saw its animation in the camp and thought OH lol ok he technically runs normal with back and forth hand and feet coordination, but he looks so adorable running in camp I love it so I kept it like that lmao
And man I'm getting so excited from the excitement people have been getting in the comments and other things, it must be a challenge to comment on every single page and I understand that if I make a lot of pages there will be less and less comments but its a lot fo fun to see the first impressions, they really filled me with DETERMINATION
So I can't wait to show the rest!

Scorbunny's animations are pretty adorable, its idle pose and running animations bring me to mind some hyperactive kids, and I can see Scorbunny having the same energetic personality like some them.
And it's fantastic to hear you're putting a lot of effort with this story. I'm among those excited to read and see this comic of yours and I can't wait to see Scorbunny's date with DESTINY!! lmao
