Description
Saw a sign like this on the way home, with God of course in the blank spot. I then began thinking about my whole feelings toward the post 9/11. Im a devoted athiest, and when all these people are saying In God We Trust, and God Bless America and crap, my non-religious beliefs really got flared up. I also got an idea in mind for a photo in the future if I can get a model for it.Related content

There's a really strong message in this one too. I myself am atheist too, and I can't understand the blind faith in something that doesn't actually exist. People should face the reality.

I believe in God, of course. I mean, I asked for an A on my last History test and I got an A. So he's real, right?

How can we trust a god that commands us not to kill and then we kill! Sounds all a bit hipocrytical to me. God is thrown around in polititical and social lingo because 1/3 of us are Christian and have alot of money to loby in congress. I remember in high school, the prayer after school at the Pep Rallies we were forced to attend. We would ask god for assistance in the big game, I asked the coach why he though god took sides and liked us so much better than the other team that we should ask for help to win. I also asked where it was in gods mantra that he said petty football games were a good subject to ask for assistance, I mean, wouldn't the starving children of the world amount to so much more.... Needless to say I was called an athiest (I'm not an athiest, I'm a scientist / buddhist. Athiesm implies that there is maybe a god but I don't believe in him, and agnosticism implies a proove it to me attitde). If there was a god and he did indeed take sides as we are often led to believe, I would have to believe that he was on their side that day and not ours, which means he either plays favorites or doesn't like us over here in America. Not a good prospect for Christians eh? Besides, nobody really reads the actual words of Jesus anymore and just likes to toss gods name around.

Yes, controversial, but not rightfully so. I think it's fine to replace it. It just gets dangerous when you start filling in words like "money".
