Description
Seasons have a temporary nature. The joy I experience in every season is also temporary and will transition into something else in the new season. Therefore, at first, a change of season is seen as disruptive. However, witnessing a change of season in nature can be very aesthetic and should symbolise the beauty of change, that means still seeing the good things which are left from the previous season and already get an outlook what's on next.
I've always wanted to capture that in a photo and during my trip to the Southwest in the US I was finally able to get a picture with autumnal foliage and snow in one frame.

Wow, this is like a shot through time into several seasons at the same time. Beautiful shot, and also the slopes split the cadre very effectively to make it even more surreal and aesthetic. It's difficult to capture time itself, but I think you did it.

Near any particular city/town/resort? I ask because some of my family might be out there in a couple weeks.

Jup, Telluride and Ouray were the places we spent our time when we were not in the mountains during this trip
Which reminds me of recommending Ouray Brewery (best and strongest imperial stout I've ever had!) and Red Mountain Brewing (mushroom onion burger with fried okra were amazing!).
