Description
Being in a Shakespeare class this year has really broadened my horizons. After going to a renaissance festival I was inspired to do chain mail (chain maille, maile, wtvr) for a class project.Top Right: First real attempt - the green is 16 gauge copper wire.
Top Left: A change of pace with 16 gauge aluminum wire which is a lot softer.
Bottom: After making my own links with copper and aluminum my anodized aluminum links came in the the mail (no pun intended). These links are a lot harder and contradictorily easier to work with. The right piece has 200 links (equates to ~25 feet of wire
oh, and this is the basic European 1 in 4 pattern
