Video: [link]A bit of fan art/ gift art for the wonderful ~Kaylink ! She's undoubtably my biggest art inspiration.
I feel like no matter how many style changes I go through, I can always look at her art and say:
"Wow, I hope to be that cool some day."
Her art is always so unique and beautiful, it always makes me happy. -I sound dumb, but this is all true. xD I get all mushy-
She's also been so helpful in critiquing my art which I really appreciate. :3
I drew her awesome fursona, Zoe. :3 The background was kind of random, but still fun to do. I'm still practicing my cat anatomy, so it's probably pretty off. x3 Oh well. I tried an angle that I've always had trouble with, and I think it came out okay.

This is just... amazing. I lovelovelove your color palette in this, like seriously it's so soft and warm, but still gives off the chilly feeling of winter. To quote my friend when I linked it to her "lookit dat background. it's like a real background, holy mother of something epic." AND THATS A GOOD SUMMATION. Zoe's face is just adorable DAT KITTYFACE I love her chubby little nose and her eyes are gorgeousss and her ears are so... gah I just wanna yank on them. And your shading is gorgeous as ever, of course.
And way to melt my heart with the description x3 I really don't think I can explain how touching it is to read that, especially since it seemed like just a short while ago I myself joined DA and found people who became my idols... to think that someone else sees me that way is extremely humbling, to say the least. But very appreciated... it's honest, sincere gestures like this that easily make up for a year of art theft and dA-stress.

The warm yet cold effect comes from throwing a layer of extremely bright purple over it and setting the layer to hue. I really love doing weird after effects, I feel like they can really transform the picture. (well, my pictures at least. xD) Her face was fun to draw! I'd never draw a bobcat before, they're really prettay.
