No, not so much. Black bears are far more afraid of us then we are of them. Plus, she was very visibly shaken, our dog had ran her up the tree, and she was so scared I could see her trembling. All she wanted to do was get down with her cubs and go hide. I brought the dogs in to the house and let her go on her way...they were down and gone from the tree within 5 mins of us comingin the house.

Amazing. Black bears afraid of people, most likely your dogs too. Especially that there were cubs present. But you still were a courageous photographer ~ and you got this excellent shot. Great Work!

Awesome.... I saw some wild bears in Yellowstone but had rather bad luck with photographing them...

Both species, but I saw only black bears...
