You recently started to make speed paintings and I can say it doesn't convey at all the feeling it is slovenly done. The shading, the drawing and whole composition is nice. The choice of colours is appreciable too, I like that cold tones you combined greatly together.
Contrary to most of you usual portraits, there is an action and somewhat a story in it, just like a captured frame of movie (or rather a cutscene in this case ;o). Even if this scene is pretty common, we do wonder what is happening (never played Metal Gear Solid so I can't tell) and what's coming next.
However the dynamism may be improved to have more impact. For example, the hair might be more messy and the shading more marked with some kind of lines, like for example the brown part of the bottom of his neck which shows more movement. Nonetheless the red lighting effect on his helmet is a cool detail.
Now I don't know what was your intention about the movement you wanted to make.
By the way, the eye seems to be drawn as if we were face facing him frontally while he is in side face. The eye seems also to near to the limit of the beginning of his nose.
You could also add some light grey shading on the glass of his helmet to enhance more the matter and transparency aspect.
Anyway, I salute once more your willing to try something new. You know I keep on supporting you and bothering you with my remarks X)

J'avoue que les cheveux ne sont pas complètement dans le mouvement du reste de l'image, j'y ai pensé un peu trop tard... mais si je commençais à trop chipoter ça ne serait plus du speedpaint.
J'aimerais pouvoir dessiner davantage pour continuer à m'améliorer mais le temps me manque cruellement, c'est rageant. J'ai plein d'idées en plus ! grrr
En tout cas ça fait vraiment du bien de pouvoir faire des trucs différents. Faut juste qu'à terme je parvienne à trouver mon style bien à moi et m'y spécialiser tout en continuant à me faire plaisir... on ne gagne en popularité que comme ça (on en faisant des fanarts, chose que j'aimerais pouvoir changer).

En effet tu as raison, ça devait rester du speedpaint, ma critique va probablement plus pour les œuvres à venir.
Ah le manque de temps et la frustration qui va avec! C'est un fléau, je sais ce que c'est ^^ Mais au moins, cette frustration est tout à fait saine 
La spécialisation, ça me rappelle le discours de profs de fac d'arts plastiques ça héhé (bien que perso je fisse tout le contraire bon gré mal gré)
Mais c'est bien vrai que ça marche comme ça, tout pour comme les fanarts. Cela dit, je pense que tu as largement atteint un niveau de popularité où tu n'as plus de besoin de faire des fanarts juste pour attirer du monde. L'important comme tu as dit, c'est le plaisir puisque c'est un hobby!
