Description
2013-05-04 Livestream request for *CluelessLlama13 .This was a fun one. CluelessLlama's request was to ponify a random object. Then asking the chat what object it should be, the most interesting idea seemed to be a chainsaw. Keeping everything SFW I had to sidestep some more grimdark interpretations. Instead I went for this silly idea of a wooden pony neatly sawed in parts. It avoids any bloody imagery and allows for some interesting speculation on what the pony actually is. Just a wooden statue, or something more along the lines of the timberwolves?
I'm happy the carved out chainsaw cutie mark worked out surprisingly well.

Hmm... ya know, with "coca cola ponies" [link] [link] , pizza ponies [link] [link] , GAK ponies [link] [link] , ponies made of crystal [link] , and, you know, the whole "I'd like to be a tree"-thing [link] , not to mention the more unusual ones like Wheelie Bopper [link] ...
And considering the canon existance of timber-wolves...
Timber-ponies? Yeah, I'd have expected this to have happened a lot sooner.
I'd seem logical, too - this would be the natural step inbetween being a pony and being a tree.
Heh. Reminds me of this . Maybe one of Fluttershy's ancestors was a timber-pony?

Huh. I forgot chocolate pony. [link]
Somepony should make a group for all the "anomalous" pony species.

heh, I remember that comic. Who knows, timber ponies might actually exist. Seeing all those other weird pony variants you linked, this idea is not that far fetched at all.

...I'm looking at a lamp right now.
... Unicorn-horns already have that "spiral"-thing going, that could lead into a lightbulb. Maybe wearing a lamp shade as some sort of "fasionable" colar? The tail is really a power-cord, complete with on/off button. And the cutiemark of course is the light bubble.
...now I'm looking at a keyboard. Well... okay, maybe that's not a perfect match for ponyfication (way too many small keys, can't think of any analog on the pony-body), but it spawns the image of a black and white, upper-crust musical pegasus with piano keys painted on the feathers of its wings. Heh. The primary feathers are the "black keys", the secondary feathers the "white" ones.
Ponifying a pencil - unicorn with a sharp horn, obviously the tip of its horn is the part where the pencil comes out. This could be a variant of the "timber pony", seeing how pencils usually are made of wood. Only that this one would be a "timber unicorn"... Or a "pencil-pony". And his flank is the rubber-part.
(Just had to think of a "pencil pony" dragging his rump across the floor to erase things. It'd would look so silly. )
Paper-machΓ© pony - Earth-pony made of black/white newspaper article papermachΓ©! Cutiemark probably is glued on as part of either a collage, or as photo in one of the articles that just happens to be in the right spot where the mark should be. Would of course have to stay away from water.
...so many options!
