DailyDeviants is a project that features deviants every day of the week! Here are the top features from the month of January and February! January 2007

AdamJuraszek
One of the things I love most about AdamJuraszek 's gallery is the almost impressionistic style some of his pieces have. I say almost because it cannot be defined so simply. I have never really been a fan of classic impressionism but when I look at this gallery I am pulled to the hazy yet passionate feeling the pieces project. From still-life’s to portraits this artists’ style shines through, uniquely his own and glorious.

death-by-pizza
:thumb46231519: :thumb29377542: :thumb20606632:
Among the most sophisticated ink and wash galleries I've ever come across, death-by-pizza's gift lies in atmosphere and an unerring instinct for what to leave unsaid. A strong gallery of characters I wish I knew, his art moves me well.

AngryBird
Isn't it wonderful when you find a fantastic painting style and a somewhat comical yet disturbing subject matter? Well, it doesn't happen very often...but in AngryBird 's gallery, there are what appear to be ill tempered princesses and mean little girls. It is a refreshing reminder of how little girls aren't always sugar and spice and everything nice.

cotton
:thumb46526977: :thumb41104401: :thumb34266406:
In a world where quality deviations are becoming increasingly hard to find, cotton 's gallery certainly makes up the deficit. Superior lighting and colouring are paramount in this deviant's coloured deviations, with fantastical, detailed line art that feels so real. You can see the scene unfold in each work, and every piece is a full story in and of itself. Only one word: Beautiful.

deviantpasta shares a world that is well known to him. Entering his gallery is like entering the world through his lens. Sharing moments and people that we would never have seen otherwise.

The word that comes to mind when thinking about hermanzaum's gallery is quality. His photographs display a clear sense of color and a dreamlike atmosphere that I find extremely captivating.

InterLight
PracticeThe bell rings and I turn
Into the mind of a butterfly,
startled, as by the sound of
finding fulfillment in a flowers nectarous
thunder
blossom
I come roaring free,
pulling my wings back,
pulling my mind back
filling my lungs,
to the place it was jarred from,
drawing sweet breath,
visualizing constancy
and pulling rain from the sky from
within my dance,
my heart
Finding rest in a sense,
I give myself to the dance,
no less,
push myself to the limit of focus
for if I leaped I would float
as my boken says "Chgak" noisily
on the wings of my mind.
Preborn RainbowLife, flowing again
Ice break walking, teary eyed
Forward, to the sea
Tears spin in the air
Points of light join in the dance
Two in one, new life
Burning pain, melting
Freeing the invisible
A preborn rainbow
3 HaikusMiracle
(to be read with inner gratitude and secret joy, at the amazement accompanying a discovery)
Tile touching stone
A spring, sprung in my garden
Water in the rock
Gentle Touch
(smile and read, like you're talking to someone you love)
Weaver dance lightly
Your shuttle moves like the wind
With your thread, weave me
Sketch Of An Innocent
(disbelief bordering on tears, a look through the eyes of a black child in South Africa during apartheid)
Heart open, mind closed
Death knocking at the doorway
And I answer him
There's something very inspiring in the poetry by InterLight . His haiku's are what drew me into his gallery but I found so many more gems there. Be sure to read the pieces here and check him out!

Omnipresent sun)
that left snatches of laughter ringing
in our ears, and emboldened our hearts—

I spy the laborious moon in all its guises;
watcher of strange fortune given rise
Little spells of indecency conspire to imbue
the minds of budding lovers shut
in their parental cells,
With inspiration of fantasies thousand fold;
focused in the glint of a knowing smile
and deep kisses in dark places
beneath shuddering encouragement
But witness false competition thwarting fresh
minds seeking glory of self—
These moon-wielders play grievous games with
virgin minds, without ever a wayward glance;

Over the past couple weeks, I've come to love this deviant's writing. Everything about neoHephaestus ' poetry strikes me as compelling. His style is not monotonous, his imagery is not cliche, and his gallery is not one to simply glance at. A lot of poets on dA can be compared to well known writers, but with him I can't seem to place a comparison. He has his own unique style that I appreciate and enjoy.

sparks upon your tongueI reach out arms
to hear you breathe in stars
they burn
your lungs
like fireworks
little fireflies, falling from the
torn electrical wiring overhead
I see you run toward them
to catch them
sparks upon your tongue
like snowflakes
made of violent blue flame
and all of them
are the pieces of me
that traverse the world
fast as bullets from a gun
feel them warm you, inside
like the healing sun
this scythe in my handsatisfied that I'll ravage her
more than the breaking waves
because in this
eye of the storm -
the water is
unnaturally calm
and all the static that
clings to my chest
ripples in my eyes
as I see what
and where, and within
the terminal lines
of her heart monitor
my own breath
as ragged as the winter wind
wrap her in the snow
that is her skin
this winter, as shallow as
most war monuments
graves created in haste
when she flat lines,
I'll have been
her final kiss
and this scythe in my hand
placed there

burn thoughts etched in silver
and remove the memory
of my own cadaver
I take last month's tinsel
weave it along my arms

because, what's the harm
you find Marilyn Monroe
on a body farm
pregnant with decay
but unable to give birth
because like Kennedy
modern machinery has
assassinated her womb
and even with
the grass growing
from her left cheek
she isn't organic enough
to implement speech
knowing that chemical spills
kill the ocean's bit of life
and drain my faith
in myself

canislupusaeterna manages to write some of the most remarkable lines I've ever had the pleasure to read. More remarkably, however, is that he manages to string them together in succession to make some very intriguing poems.

DuCkliNdpo
I enjoy many things about the designs that DuCkliNdpo creates. They are fun and brighten up by day each time I view them. I think that you'll get the same feeling! Just take a look at the three here. Very professional and very hip. I'd love to have this deviant design my website!

Bigandgoodfish
Bigandgoodfish is an outstanding jewelry maker with one heck of a gallery. Her time and effort really shows through her remarkably detailed works. Very precise placement and composition. Not only does this deviant have some great work anyone would want, but the photographs that are taken are very clear and coherent, showing off the significance of her jewelry. Great job!

Alissia
:thumb47522008: :thumb48445675: :thumb44353773:
Alissia really knows how to render one speechless. Brilliant, soft monotones in each piece with stark contrast and full detail make this young, talented deviant really stand out from the rest. Alissia has very thematic art, the colour use reflecting extremely accurately the emotions that were painstakingly put into every piece. Some grunge; some sexy; all fantastic. You seriously miss out if you bypass this beautiful (and varied!) gallery.

ev-one
ev-one 's gallery is like a door to another world, a world where fiction has no boundaries and sometimes combines with real life. ev-one creates flawless and truly magnificent real life renders that make you think if it's real or false. He integrates real life events and places and combines them with great execution and 3-D renders to create an illusion of real or fake. Take a step into this deviant's amazing gallery and be enthralled...

Bolshevixen 's gallery makes great use of texture and uses mostly muted tones making many of the photos look aged. I love the way the portraits tend to be conceptual and quirky.

A Modern Tragedy
At 12, she wasn't a virgin.
She didn't like to talk about it.
She was a wild lullaby, stifling
screams into her feathered pillows.
At 13, she wasn't a dreamer.
She cast glares at her peers,
wandering the halls digging
her long tiger-nails into her palms.
At 14, she wasn't a dizzy-romance
she hid herself in naked boys' chests
and let them swallow her sighs.
She wrote them hate letters after they came
inside her.
At 15, she wasn't a zombie
but she wasn't quite alive either.
She drew patterns in her limbs with
scissors, and waved away her parents concern.
Her best friend was a star in a film
made in 1969.
At 16, she was a pile
I need Avocados
1
Today, Princess Diana Died.
I am crying, but not because of this. The tv is on and that's all they talk about, and when they announce it I am cutting up an avocado and mom screams, "Why? Why?! oh my god! Why?" and I slice my finger to the bone and I flinch. The blood pools around my white skin, so dark and red that it seems surreal.
I bandage it up and walk over to where my mom is on her knees by the cat, crying and holding her face with her fleshy hands. My mother loves Princess Diana, she always has. Not really because of any good reason other than that she always wished she were her. I want to smile and tell her I bet she didn't wish
I don't think that I can express how I feel towards ohfever 's gallery because each of her poems brings me into another state of happiness, no matter the subject matter. Her poems are very real and wonderfully written. I would pay a million dollars to have the privilege of reading her works.

anomalicious
:thumb48475751::thumb43609889::thumb49029927:
I felt a strong connection to anomalicious 's gallery. I'm not sure if it was so much the content of her writing, but more her writing style that settled so perfectly with me. Her poetry touches topics in the most invigorating ways. A lot of her poems twist imagery with subtle form, creating beautiful masterpieces for anyone to enjoy.

It's my privilege to have SparrowSong be my final monthly feature on DailyDeviants. Her writing is finely crafted, yet it maintains a natural grace that makes you always want to continue reading even after the poem has ended.

AS-I-CRY
Every time I browse AS-I-CRY 's gallery I literally have a thumb-gasm. His designs are so awesome, it's almost deadly. Beware that you will most likely have a thumb-gasm too when you browse this gallery. What I like about AS-I-CRY 's style is that he can take a simple t-shirt and turn it into something extraordinary... or make a poster that you know you would have to stop and stand in awe from viewing it, walking down the street. Take my word and check AS-I-CRY out!!

I don't know what it is about gummibaehr 's gallery that just captures me. I feel like I am a child again, browsing the shelves of a toy store, wanting each and every gem that catches my eye. In gummibaehr 's case, every piece of hers is a gem. Her great designs, stitchings, and colors just flow so well together.
