Traditional Selection

maestroWMR

Mature Content

maestroWMR has a fabulous way of rendering people, and the paintings in this artist's gallery prove it! His work really speaks to the human condition, and draws in the viewer with dramatic lighting.

AshleighPopplewell 's Feature

borda

Sometimes you find a hidden treasure here on DA, and can't wait to share it with everybody. borda 's gallery is one of those hidden treasures. Unique surreal paintings, put on canvas with oil... A must see.

IngeVandormael's Feature

TheBanannamator

TheBanannamator accomplishes a lot with a little. The watercolor works are beautifully soft and detailed. This deviant is a master of expression and tone. It appears that TheBanannamator is temporarily gone (to China??) but I will continue to check back for more of this beautiful art.

Digital Selection

Velvet--Glove

The fractals of Velvet--Glove are so delightfully aesthetically beautiful you would wish you have come across them sooner. All the minute details and presentation shows alot of care and dedication with great sweeping lines and vibrant colors. Visit the gallery of a top notch fractal artist.

Muarw 's Feature

Caelicorn

Caelicorn 's art delves into the world of fantasy with demons, spirits, and symbolism. The gothic settings she portrays are stunning in both environment and attention to detail.

nokari 's Feature

CSnyder

:thumb78018904::thumb82294567::thumb84184356:

CSnyder makes pieces of work which we can't stop staring. Its photomanipulations and digital art in general are very clean, he uses stock images wonderfully and his works look awesomely realistic, despite he tends to do surreal art.
CSnyder's work has the three c's every artist longs for: capturing, cosmic and creative.

Cribby's Feature

BJPentecost

:thumb83320500: :thumb75072433:

BJPentecost 's work is nothing short of amazing! Her pieces are both inspirational and visually stunning!

Photography Selection

LittleJean

This younger photography displays such array of photos. All very stunning and beautiful. LittleJean 's portrait work is something to check out.

rakastajatar 's Feature

SX-70

SX-70 's gallery embodies simplicity at its finest! These beautiful time-zero pola squares are tranquil and keep pulling me back again and again to see what else I see in each one.

RendyTheBard

The boxIt was a big, square cardboard box, big enough to hold a medium sized TV. A thick layer of dust covered it and it seemed the box was in there for quite a few years. There were no markings on it and since nothing was ticking inside I opened it.

The first thing I saw were a pair of handcuffs.

Somewhat disturbing, I'll admit.

Next I took out a black disc made of some thick fabric. It took me a few seconds to realize it was a collapsed top hat. By lifting the hat I revealed a black wooden stick with white tips. Yep, it was a magician's wand. My appartment was previously owned by a magician. Cool. I just hoped he didn't leave a bunny or a dove The broken houseThe broken house

Liam opened the sliding door and walked from the living room of his mid-thirties into the kitchen of his youth. This time it was like walking into a freezed frame of a TV show. The people from his past were no longer just shimmering shadows that swooshed around the room like movie characters on fast-forward, too fast for him to make out any details. Everything was perfectly still, frozen in time, just like two hours ago, when he left the hallway of the first night he came home drunk and walked right into what looked like the living room of the night when he was concieved. Not an experience he'd like to repeat, seeing Mum and Survival urgeNo one remembers the singer.
That was the terrible truth that every bard had to face. The stories you wrote and the songs you played would probably remain for centuries. The heroes and villains you wrote about would be remembered for millenia to come. But the singer's name is alaways lost. Such was the destiny of a bard. You wrote stories. But you would have no story of your own.

All this passed through Elydor's mind as he was fighting for air. The man's hands were locked around his throat like a vice and the bard's vision blurred.

I'm an idiot, Elydor thought. My last thoughts are going to be melancholic whimpering.

He was in a way over

RendyTheBard has come a long way, all the way to being a monthly deviant feature. This writer takes fantasy to a whole other level that I rarely see on deviantart, through an active imagination and intense, descriptive action that (were it a novel) would be a real page turner. He may or may not be published yet, but it makes me happy to place on him the one honour that I can, and make him the deviant of the month this April.

I clench my coat's wool fabric

Yellowish green fan-shaped leaves
Fallen from the ginko trees

Wind is harsh on pale white skin
But helps the fog to lighten

Lonesome morn hears crows' cackle
Starlings and purple grackle

I wait for you to come along
Hug me tight and hold me strong

Warm me and share your misty breath
Join my steps back down the path A RevelationThe strengthening morning light reveals the noble silhouette of motionless arms stretched skyward:

Office Haikus | Cold Morning | A Revelation

raw-sienna writes pensive, lovely verse with great imagery to support them. Her poetry is my favorite part of her gallery, and well-worth the read. She writes not only about offices and city life, but also about trees and nature.

CaveBrat

I CUP     "Spell I cup, spell I cup!" the little towheaded boy pleaded, his ruffled brown hair and ruddy cheeks the picture of youth as he taunted the girl on the bus.  Ruddy, she thought.  They always use that word to describe the good guys in my chapter books.
"Don’t you know how to spell it?"  the boy pushed again.
The redheaded girl with brown eyes glared into his blue, and spit out, "E Y E C U P!"  The boy stared at her, stumped.
"You did it wrong!" he declared.
"Did not," she said angrily, jabbing an elbow in the direction of his ribs, but from a distance.  She had heard this joke before and was too smart to f Coldinvoluntary bone-shaking, a lively dance of the lungs

and regrouping wanly at the centre

preferring them to painfully sleep
than cutely curl and turn pink.

holding up their long arms
pleading for mercy.
Dinner for Two | An Exercise in Stupidity | BakTrak Part One

CaveBrat 's writing is certainly one that would be enjoyable on a rainy day. From a peek through his gallery, his stories are long and expressive, and really quite imaginative enough to make sure they don't become boring. They've peeked my interest, at least, and I have to go and read them when I've got a nice quiet length of time at home.

phonkdumbass

I'm not sure what a "phonk" is, but I do know what a "dumbass" is, and I don't think it applies to phonkdumbass . His design is rock-solid, and uses deep and robust palettes to create some seriously high-end print design. Not only that, I'd guess the photography folks might be disappointed Miscellaneous got to him first!

r51 's Feature

Intro-Extro

Aside from being one of the very first galleries I was able to feature for DailyDeviants , this deviant's work holds a special place in my heart for the sheer amazement factor. If the scale and quality of this deviant's Artisan Craft pieces weren't enough, Intro-Extro 's gallery is full of all sorts of prizes.

Me-Se

The leather work in Me-Se 's gallery is phenomenal, I don't know a lot about how it is done and the technicalities, but I do know they are beautiful pieces and the corsets are well designed with intricate buckles. This gallery is a great treat for all from the fetish inclined to the more docile viewers

feetpeet 's Feature

wilred

wilred 's gallery is packed full of wonderfully composed pictures. Her style is so unique you'll want to go back to it at least more than once!

fense

Man and RockBorn to a mother of rock and a father of dust
He was cast out.
So bizarrely his body winded:
His veins protruded thick and dry,
His hands were like ginger roots,
His pupils housed flies.
He questioned his ability to think
With a brain of chrome,
Enclosed in moss.
His steps shook the earth.
His breath would rot the trees;
So beautifully they stood
That he could not sigh.
He held his breath, and his pride:
Death, and grime.

One day dream to be a man
    &# IV.IV.

When one bows to love
He bows to trust and ulcers
And stands ten feet tall What a LimerickSuch difficult poems to plan,
both lacking in substance and span,
    most limericks do
    (it's sad but it's true)
end fleetingly before you can–

fense is astute, and at age 16, he's already showing signs of an excellent writer. Even more, there's really a lot to be found in his gallery, be it written work or art, and it's quite nice to just wander through his work and see what he's got to offer.

I simply love the textures in hyperphagia's paintings! She has transformed scenes from daily life into beautiful art.
