RoadioArts

My Impression about RoadioArts 's gallery is "a breath taking space" he doesn't have a long while in deviant but has become in my opinion an amazing digital artist, his ideas and compositions are addictive, he has an amazing use of the space he works with, which makes his work easy to read, and easy to interpretate.

Amberlouie

Tea, Anyone?
A withering elderly lady drags the quintessential flap-topped grocery trolley into the dimly lit underpass. Her hair is a tangle of combs, an electric frizz fallen prey to old age, now sits static and snow-white. Muttering quietly, she stops as she sets eyes on the musician, beating his bongo drums. The skin around her eyes gathers crows-feet and for a second her eyes seem to brighten, wide and beautiful with recognition. She moves closer and begins to speak.

My Grandpop used to say that an’ I never knew him to be poetical. I mean…he was no Shakespeare or nothin’, but he were somethin’ with his greased up fingers from all LinesIt is only when I am elbow deep in the foamy dishwater that I am reminded of how I was never really good at swimming. Through the panelled window I glimpse the lake, the moon duets in both the sky and in the silky reflection. The sink is full of filmy soap and it coats my arms and the bubbles bunch and cling to my skin as I clean plates and saucers.

Father’s voice echoes through the hallway; the baby is crying again. I imagine Madeline's tears curving across cheeks and down the baby fat around her chin. My Father is singing that same bronchial lullaby; the one he’s had since Mother died. Father is singing in a sanded sort of way, a:thumb74250279:

Amberlouie is a brilliant writer, showing immense knowledge of the rules of writing, as well as the subtle, effective ways to break them and still astound a reader. Her works are captivating; as one reader commented on Lines, "I thought it was a poem in the preview window...then I couldn't stop reading." Give Amber's works a read, you won't be disappointed!

Fairytale-Heart

Madness
I am monochrome in my madness
My manic monologues mimic
the stream of blood passing through my heart
This madness is my occupation
My bread and water, bricks and mortar
It is the fibers and fabrics of this existence
The messed state of my being
I have the texture of insanity on my skin
   It is the living epitome.

I am a house built for three
But I live in solitude
Out-living loneliness. Sundials and Dust Motes

Sundials are sepia
     these days

And they tick
Out          place

in their                 thick
iron casing

They stop at sunset
     to watch the Gods

L'Utérus Languit

I yearn for a full belly
Swollen with the promise of love
Rapidly swelling with the blood and sludge
     of my fertile being.

I am the maiden sat at the brim of my heritage
Ready to slide into the rich depth of my ancestors
To unravel the secrets stitched into my genes
And to copy them with my needle sharp and my threads clean
I'll tightly tie a knot at the point of the great spillage
An eternal tie at the core of my creation.

I will nurture my bloodline with the gifts of Earth
Suckling upon the heavy breasts of my Mother
My soft, pink creation will mirror my feeding

Writing from the heart and keeping your own voice is what makes an artist for me. When I read her works I find both along with delicate feel, walking me through intriguing trails.

RecycledTreasures

:thumb91394715:

Pamela, RecycledTreasures , has four deviations at the time that I write this. Only four - and if I had four slots to fill I wouldn't hesitate to fill each one of them. It's one thing to recycle materials; that is of course trendy these days, not to mention "green." But read her comments, and you'll know that she's putting buckets of thought into how these pieces work together. Let's keep her at DA by congratulating her on this feature!

shaped like a plane spread
against same ozone

myloveliestsequence refers to his writing as "small words", and one can see why, given the brevity of his poems. However, he says and depicts so much in those small words of his that as a reader, one is blown away, then dragged back in. I've read each of the poems I'm choosing to feature more than a few times each, and every time I read, I feel obligated to read it again, just because of the beauty of them. Definitely give his works a read.

Ever since I first read Kathryn’s poems I fell in love with her daring spirit, extraordinary metaphors and uniqueness. Sincerity and emotion are the key elements of being a great poet.

RosetteCullen

Stoically Stitched 16 | The Change | Stoically Stitched 17

I've never been particuarly fond of fan fiction, but I cannot deny the talent of some of the deviants on DA. RosetteCullen is one of the only artists that I read religiously. Everything she posts has the same gripping, addictive, high quality. I read her literature before I read the Twilight series (by Stephanie Meyer, of which the fan fiction is based), and it inspired me to go and get the original series, which is quite a feat. Not only that but after reading the original series I maintain that love or hate Twilight - with the character names changed RosetteCullen has several bestsellers in the making. I for one cannot wait until her talents turn her to her own original stories - then she will be a force to be reckoned with.

No we cant feature ourselves, the team is made up of around 4 people usually.

I was featured by DD about two weeks before I applied for the job, and fell under the time period of the August and September features - so Leo nominated me, and I nominated Rosette
