Apart from being a wonderful deviant as a person, she’s a tremendously talented artist, and you will find this as soon as you browse her gallery. She’s got all her works under tidy folders, with short descriptions of the content on each one. Her technique is amazing, she gets better and better as time goes by and she learns from great artists. Her attitude is perfect for a learner which progresses with time, and she replies to every comment and takes any kind of advice regarding her work. She doesn’t feel ashamed of her older works, which she keeps in her gallery, and gives credit when needed perfectly in all her pieces. A big round of applause for sioux-she !

A few in the crowd sighed in longing, marking themselves as former attendees.

“If you could only hear ‘The Sunset Eternal’ once, it would still be enough to see you happily through an entire year of cold sleep!”

In the back, still in his usual post between two sets of golden elevator doors, an elderly Dogwood shook his branches in horror.

“Only the young can speak of winter so flippantly. Imagine, an entire year of such darkness!”

The fire crackled softly, orange and yellow curling in upon themselves, alternately giving off then pulling in waves of heat. The surrounding group didn’t seem to notice; they occupied themselves with thoughts of staying warm, of food that was still cooking, and of the darkness barely kept at bay. Interaction was kept to a minimum, but for good reason; talking was a painful invitation to bitingly crisp air, movement became a gamble on how much heat would be lost.

It's odd.  For some reason, you tend to appreciate something the most just before it's taken away.  Take life, for example.

I've always compared it to water in my mind; it's there to surround and support you, yet it holds the power to drag you to your death at the bottom, a power that deserves respect. Winner for FantasyWritersUnited ‘Sentient Trees’ contest with Ever Green tharah is a really great example of a dedicated fantasy writer. The writing is well developed, clear and oozes with potential.

This is my last feature for DailyDeviants and I would like to just thank everyone who works on this project. The daily work needs people with dedication, understanding of teamwork and enjoying featuring good work. The standard of this club is one which is very high, and I am going to miss working here. Sure, The Strip is all neon and glitz, but that's only a three-mile stretch of pretty for all the tourists—glamorous make-up to camouflage an old, wasted whore. I never did like the Strip, and any time I saw one of my cases heading that way, I knew to bring aspirin. We're not talking about that today.

One of my all time favourite writers here on dA, distortified delivers what he promises. The number of fans he has will attest to the fact that he never falls short of scaring your pants off. With gorgeous pieces like my favourite, Decayed Earth: The First Days and the famous DailyDeviation award winning SatanMacMurphy, distortified is one of those writers who blends beautifully simple language with a strong plot, and brings his readers to their knees. One, a slim girl with big brown eyes and yellow hair, was making a daisy chain. The other, with serious grey eyes and straight brown hair, was staring at a leaf, tracing its veins. Dandelion fluff blew in the air; spirals of the snow-like seeds surrounded the two. The one making the daisy chain looked up at the serious girl. "Libby," she whined. "You still haven't told me what you dragged me out here for!"
Libby stared at her leaf. The other girl sighed impatiently and threw the leaf out into the breeze. "Lib. Seriously. I gotta wal The Night CarnivalThe night was cold. Mary wrapped her scarf tightly around her neck, her green eyes watering from the fierce, icy wind blowing through the deserted plaza. The torrent blew her wavy brown hair into her face.“Why did I agree to this?” she thought to herself, already knowing the answer. She thought back to the moment she’d received the letter, with its fine, fancy print and floral paper.
You are formally invited to The Night Carnival, the paper said. Please come at midnight on the night of the twenty-fifth. Well, what can I say about vampiresmoon besides the fact that she's an excellent fantasy writer? vampiresmoon has left quite an impression on my personally with her work. Not only does she put together stories that keep you hooked reading right until the end, but grammatically speaking, they're beautifully crafted and with a strong voice as well.
