ROFL, I get that all the time. My other avi is pretty much in the Seafoam dress, and I've seen people say they just flat out refuse to do it because of that, but adding the biancamella hair... Well, here's my avi: [link]

That was pretty much the first actual dream avi I stuck with and ended up completing. I've had several outfits I've liked over the years, but keep going back to that one, ever since that dress came out. XD

I've been turned down several times with that one by artists I would have wanted art from, even when I tell them they're more than welcome to simplify it a bit, as long as it still looks like an elegant dress and the colors match...

And of course the other account I use, most artists on Gaia just plain flat out refuse Anthros from the get-go. XD

Haha, I agree. But some artists on Gaia just seem to be into rushing it so they can get the gold out of it, without as much effort as they SHOULD put into it. I hate seeing that. I've ordered art where the samples are absolutely GORGEOUS, and then all I get is a shitty looking sketch out of wasting my money on it.

I got once, "Eh, it's all I felt like doing." WTFH! I was so pissed off, thankfully after being able to leave a bad review on her art shop, she offered to redo the piece as to how it was SUPPOSED to be done for what I payed for.

Agreed, and to all those with clutter bunch looking avis and anthros that artists refuse to attempt.

I'm sorry you got jipped on the art, it really pisses me off when they do that. Thankfully there were others in her artshop that were there FOR art, and she was pretty much shamed into redrawing mine after I showed them the art, telling them how much she charged for the shit I got, and that it was SUPPOSED to look like the style of example x and she pretty much conceded to get it because I was chasing away her customers. *inserts evil laugh here*

XD That's one of the reasons I don't really want a shop, is to have to deal with up keep, and I can just troll the request forum or make a temp when I AM in the mood for drawing.

that is just amazing. I wasnt able to tell her that it was bad cause shes my gaia friend i need to grow some balls xD but she coulda done a hell of a lot better.

yeah real life is kinda taking over so i havent had any time to keep up with my shop :/ if my fonts were working i probably could get a lot done but i just cant get any of my fonts to appear to let me use them ill figure it out eventually xD

That's not near as bad as the hell I'm getting from one of the idiots on Gaia at the moment. Her art was actually supposed to be done before yours, but she PMed me and actually told me that she needed the gold for something other than art. I was pissed and chatting with my friends sort of just blew it off, thankful that I had pretty much just started and could use the sketch of the pose for someone else later.

TODAY in fact, she had the gall to ask if her art was DONE yet. WTF. Then when I told her that I wasn't ABOUT to draw without a trade for the gold that she had canceled, she said I was the one trying to cheat her, when she's the one trying to SCAM ME out of art.

I get so SICK of the BS and drama that goes on in trying to sell art there sometimes. It pisses me off, because I KNOW there have been people who have been scammed out of art when they pay up front, but it's hard enough for an artist on Gaia to get a decent price in trying to SELL art as well.

XD Sorry for the mini rant.... but I sort of get pissy about some of the requests.

all the bs and drama all around on gaia is getting fricking annoying D:< its supposed to be a fun site but its just filled to the brim with trolls and hackers and cyberers and omfg why cant ppl just enjoy a good thing o -e

Yeah, I try to be careful. Thankfully I've never been hacked before, but I've been scammed a bit, which is why I have it set up the way I do.

Hey, sorry for not being able to get it done sooner, but I"m about to load the editted version up here in a bit.

I agree with you that it SHOULD be a fun site, but honestly, I think Gaia HAS gotten greedy with the intro of the RiGs and Bundles and such.

As much as I like this months MCs and think they're actually a bit better than some of the previous months, I do have to agree that there wasn't much creativity in them just being editted a bit and color changed.

Some users on Gaia just can't keep up with the inflamation, and it's sad to see how much it's gone down hill as far as being overall.

My first account on Gaia was in 05, and it was SO much different then.

yes ive tried two rigs in the time ive been on gaia and ive always bought them for around 100k and only received something worth 10k

yes this months MCs really suck. the only mc i got was the one with afk scarf but it was a gift xD they need to make the things you get with gaia cash actually worth what they should be :/

yeah you have to be a gaia billionaire to fully enjoy the marketplace now D;< the inflation is terrible

i think i made mine in 08 and it was better then too. its gotten way worse

Thanks, I'm glad you like it, but there are plenty of coloring tutorials out there. I just use a few colors for the skin, and several layers for the the eyes, playing a bit with the PS filters when I need to.

When I started out I was using this technique: [link] It's fun to play with too, but the colors seem to be all a bit one dimensional without any variation to them.

The hair is one of my favorite things to do on a piece. I REALLY recommend this set of brushes: [link] if you have PS or a PS Compatible program that will let you use them: They're fantastic brushes and have a varitey of textures to play with when drawing hair.

A good thing is to always start with the right combination of colors: [link] And tutorials to use skin tone colors: [link] I know this one is much more realistic, but the idea is basically the same, just much more simplified.

I'm sorry I'm not going to take the time to make one at the moment. Good luck though.
