Ratchet is the Autobots' medical officer. As a war veteran, Ratchet has fought many Decepticons, and is also Optimus Prime's best friend. Although he's cranky at times, Ratchet believes conflicts can be solved peacefully without violence, though he will carry out Optimus' plans if he has to. Ratchet has also saved many Autobot lives, capable of repairing the greatest of wounds, though he is still working on Bumblebee's damaged voice.

Oh, don't worry. He only strikes with his wrenches when you really piss him off. Like my Ratchet. He even has a list on when it's "appropriate" to strike his patients.
Optimus - never, unless he needs to knock some sense into him. (This rarely happens.)
Bumblebee - when he starts acting like a little shit. (Happens often.)
Wheeljack - whenever he acts like an asshole. (Happens more often than Bumblebee.)
