A concept sketch for the direct adaptation of a scene from the very first chapter of 'The Perils of Valora" written by The scene will (partially) be a part of the 'Runt' comic.

Four superheroines -- eager to do the job but green as they come -- are sent on a mission inside a derelict tanker. Needless to say, the job does *not* go well for the ladies involved, and two of them are swiftly grabbed and bound in hessian bags soaked with ether.

The gals showcased in this piece are Maria ( AKA Freebird, left) and Charlie ( AKA Lupus,right).

They truly don't stand a chance of freeing themselves here, but Charlie is determined to make a valiant effort to attack her captor by sending energy beams from her hand...which are pinned against her sides. She manages to cut into the floor. Great going, Charlotte.
