The first actual hand-held rail gun (at least, first Russian hand-held rail gun - nothing is known for now about foreign rail guns) was developed in the workshops of famous DeltaTech Inc. company in the year 2031. Object №98 finished first series of factory test, and was sent to other DeltaTech labs and military test centers for field and environmental testings, when the War started. Only 200 of this guns were ever produced, and location of most of them still unknown.

Rail gun have an astonishing firepower - every slug delivers 45kJ of kinetic energy. Ammo, however, are extremely rare. While slugs still can be produced, CNT rechargeable batteries can't. Repairing of this guns is also extremely difficult, most often - impossible. So, while most of Big Enclaves have one or two of them, they are rarely used.
