I felt kinda bad about skimping on the other characters, so I whipped this up. The Mime doesn't want the other heroes to waste time looking for her, so she leaves word with the Empty Suit (since his alter ego was a newscaster, I thought it appropriate that he be the one to break the news). I drew the suit once before [link] , and was really unhappy with it. I mean, he's a 1940's suit! I draw those all the time! How hard can it be? Anyhow, I love the suit to pieces and I wanted to give him a little limelight.Also: look at the Suit and tell me what my favorite movie of '08 was.

EmptySuit looks great- i love how many angles you explored with his look. Really well though out. Did you sketch a wire frame first and then just ink the clothes or did you draw the empty form?

Wire frame, definitely. I tried the empty form, but I kept running into the visual pothole of assuming the neckline was the top of the figure, drawing the hat three inches above the collar. Looked like one of the Brain's (of "Pinky and" fame) robot suits.

I <3 the inking style here, with the hatched in blacks. I also envy your ability to draw fedoras.

I owe that to lots of butchered Question drawings. But the inking was a spur-of-the-moment choice... a fun one, though. Think I'll do all my quickies that way.
