sporadic and intense my venomous wordseasily slicing the ones i love without a thought, or worse a conscience. somehow they are the easiest to target and the simplest to hurt. what is most shameful is the pleasure i partake from their pain.
i am not repentant, not for the time being anyhow.
I have lived too long curbing my words and sweetening the taste to make it palatable that I am sick of it.
I'm through with mincing words and dancing around sharp edges.....
and yet i am the worst hypocrite. i cannot take a sharp word without it being personal, i bruise when an off comment is made.
and maybe that is what i'm compensating for.

I know this feeling. Why is it always the one's closest to us that we always end up hurting the most? Whether it's intentional or not...everything is amplified, the good and bad. With great love comes great responsibility I suppose.
Everyone has character defects like this. And even though they've been with us for so long it seems almost impossible to change them we have to remember that all things worth their salt take a hell of a lot of time and effort fighting for. I'm walking(and falling at numerous intervals) this hard road myself, but no matter how useless it seems: I will keep fighting. Kind of cliche, but I'm tired.
