This time around, it’s King Zephyrus (in some bios his name is Zebulos) and his daughter Princess Sherry.

I did a big overhaul to Zephyrus design. His original design was basically Sparkster with a long bushy white beard, curly blond hair and in clothing that looked two sizes too big for him. I also notice that he is very short stature compared to his daughter. (1)Past young King Zephyrus in battle mode. Since he and Sir Mifune are good friends, I imagined them fighting enemies together on the battle field. I couldn’t come up a cool helmet design this time around so I just let his hair blow dramatically in the wind (2) Past Zephyrus on the throne worrying about the state of his kingdom and other matters. (3) Current senior (he and Mifune are about the same age). Happier times wearing ceremonial attire. I probably should have made his beard longer! (4) Past young Princess Sherry in her early teens, on cloud nine crushing on Sparkster (I’m guessing that Sherry, Sparkster and Axel are about the same age). I decided it would be fitting to put her in the dress she was wearing in the first game (5) Current adult Sherry trying to run away from danger as her castle is under attack from the Emperor Devilgus of the Devotindos Empire. IMO this guy is like a fusion of Ganon from LOZ and SatAM Robotnik. Basically the stuff of nightmare here! I’m purposely mixing things up a bit here by putting Sherry in a similar blue gown she wore in the second game. (6) Sherry wearing civilian attire or what I like to call “modern medieval” clothes. Bored of staying in the castle, sometimes she would sneak into town and visit the bazaar marketplaces. The blue cloak she has on is very important and she wears it to pay homage to the person that once wore it.

There is no mention of a Queen. I’m assuming that she passed away when Sherry was really young and Zephyrus never remarried. Not sure if she die from illness or if she was a casualty of the constant wars. I was going to add Princess Cherry (Sherry’s cousin) and Princess Floral (not sure if she’s related) but decided to just focus on the main royal family for now.
