Description It's a map of a planet done in a somewhat Mercator projection-like style.

The name of this world was meant to be Pakugu, but right now I notice that this would sound too similar to another planet, which happens to be not my creation...so I'll over-think the naming again. (Seriously, I got the name by a software creating a random word...funny coincidence.)

Pakugu (let's go by this name until I find a better one) is the 5th world orbiting it's mother star: It's a small and cold world with about 3/4 the gravity we know on Earth. Highlands, glaciers and cold forest dominate the landscape, unless there were overpopulation brought up giant metropolitan areas and dried out wastelands.

For what I did create this world? I'll add that soon enough...

(This and the previously posted picture I did both a while ago. I think it's about time to do really new artworks though.)

Wow, very cool piece, Dani. You used an impressive amount of detail here, even distinguishing between areas of night, day, morning, and twilight. One thing that stands out to me is that the brown/beige areas of the landmasses seem to flow together as if they're congruent underneath the layer of water.

I'm glad you like it that much, ET! ^^

And thanks, that was my intention to have it look like that, it was to show a tectonic realistic looking world, which is why I started with tectonic borders, followed by altitude-lines and then to eventually "flood it" and see what's landmasses and what's oceans then.

I do like the clouds over the world. Interesting land masses too.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

I tried to give the clouds some depth by adding a shadow under them.

The land masses and sub-marine landscapes base on continental/tectonic borders I did draw in the start.

The shadow underneath the clouds does seem to work well.
