Did this over the weekend to get some fun fanart art out of my system before the new quarter at school starts! I hope it's obvious that this is Ryo from Ronin Warriors. I used to love that show as a kid!As far as this piece goes, well I hope it shows that I've been working on the figure in motion. I'm still struggling with anatomy but I feel good about this one, a definite step in the right direction.

Wonderful angle, the diagonal really makes for an energetic composition. Ryo's pose looks very good as well, the anatomy looks pretty good, which I'm sure was a challenge to get right underneath all that armor. : ) I also like the demonish figure you added, it's a nice twist on a creature coming from the Netherworld. : ) And it's very recognizable as Ryo : ) Really like the BG colors and how gestural you added in the city, it's well done and adds a glow sort of effect, and also makes the scene believable as a moment in the middle of an action.
