of countless towns and un-named cities
(a vivid, flattened representation
of the lives within)
as the music screams to us.
Sitting next to me, you dance to the song
and sing the words
we both adore.
In the only voice that brings
a living smile to my broken lips.
All the world flashes by outside
as we cross these midnight miles.
