For the past two years, I've been doing a fun series of drawings in which I counted down to my birthday, which is April 29th. I enjoy these particular projects, & so I thought I'd do it again this year. So, here we have my eighth drawing in my birthday countdown. Today is day 3. Only 2 more days until my birthday!

Like most of the other pictures you've been seeing lately, this is another piece based on one of my Sketchbook of Fun pictures from my Twitter. As you can see, it's a piece of Nintendo crossover fanart, combining two Nintendo video game series I love. We see that Yoshi from the Super Mario series has met & befriended a Pikachu from the Pokemon series, & is giving it a ride on his back. They then come across Yoshi's good friend Mario, who is of course happy to see Yoshi with a new friend. Let's hope that Pikachu accompanies Mario on his next big adventure, as I imagine a Mario/Pokemon crossover would be a lot of fun to play. Plus, it could happen someday, since both franchises are owned by Nintendo. Only time will tell.
