Here is the next entry in the Drawgust challenge, it's based on a Sketchbook of Fun drawing I did a while back, & it's a piece of fan art to my favorite video game ever!

That video game in question is of course Super Mario 64, the 1996 groundbreaking masterpiece for the Nintendo 64 that pioneered full 3D environments & adjustable camera movements. Plus, it's just a great & fun adventure with so much to explore, it's truly is one of Mario's best titles! Now, I'm about to go into some game spoilers, so if you haven't played this game yet, I'd stop reading here. Thanks! *SPOILERS* One great thing about the game is that if you obtain all 120 power stars, the cannon outside of Princess Peach's castle becomes activated, & it allows you to reach the castle rooftop. There, you meet Mario's good dinosaur friend Yoshi, who rewards you with 100 lives & a stronger jump ability. *SPOILERS* One thing I learned was that the developers of Super Mario 64 originally wanted to have Yoshi show up more to give Mario rides like in Super Mario World, but whether it was a lack of time or technical limitations, they decided to just have Yoshi appear at the end. So, I thought to myself "What would it be like if Mario could ride Yoshi around in Super Mario 64? I'll bet it would've been a lot of fun!" Thus, I decided to draw that! So here we have Mario riding Yoshi in Bob-Omb Battlefield, with one of the pink Bob-Omb Buddies regretfully informing Mario that Yoshi can't fit inside their cannon. I also included some of Cool, Cool Mountain in this picture as well, as Yoshi uses his long tongue to lick the lost Baby Penguin who cries constantly.
