Description Purpose: To capture a unique moment in time with shadows and light as the motive.
Extras: To draw a contrast between the stairs and the black background.

This is one of my favorite photos. It might not seem as much, but it's really grand.

Yeah - this is good. It also, in a bizarre way, reminds me of a sketch done by British comic Bill Bailey about the time he had in Glastonbury, tripping on acid.
"Makes an N, makes an N, n-n-n-n-n-n-nnnnnnnnnnnn for hours and hours and hours and..." o.0 Sorry - I'm going off on one.

The contrast between those laminate-wood stairs and the wall behind is, as you say, a nice focal point - but I'm taken by all those parallel lines. The pic's full of 'em! Great stuff!

Virkelig godt skud!

+fav, forresten

Skål!

But the art school thing, what's that about?

I love this one. I really like the lines in it. On top the lines are horizontal, but on the stairs they are diagonal. Love it.

Me thinks this is one of my +fav photos from your gallery as well (though I liked that spiral quite so too!). Something about this that seems in symmetry .. and yet, because of the stairs angle, gives it a little twist. And stairs are like soooooo the most under-appreciated of human's inventions, for sure! (Escalators are so "le lame!")
