Description
Death To All“So, are you going to tell me why we’re doing this again?” I asked as I nervously sat crouched in a dark corner of the art supply closet.
“Cuz It’ll be funny.” Replied Rob. “C’mon, I know you wanna do this. Besides, you’re the one that came up with this plan.”
I sighed and sat up. “Fine. But if I get caught, you’re coming with me!”
“Ok, ok girl.” Said Rob with his hands up in surrender. “Just go do your stuff.”
“Yeah yeah.” I said as I opened the door. “Just be ready when the alarm goes off ok?”
“Ok, I promise.”
Our plan was fool proof. It was going to be so perfect; just a way to get out of class for a while.
We were going to light the art rooms on fire.
It was going to be quick and simple. I was going to gather up some string and newspaper. Then I had to light it.
It was simple but it all went wrong.
The firemen came up to me. “Rob, Rob! Oh my god! He’s still in there!”
I was trying to claw my way out of the fireman’s grasp.
“Let me go!” I screamed. “Rob! Rob!”
“Clam down.” Said the young fireman that was holding me back away from the burning building. “People are going in there to get him.”
All I can say was that it was fool proof. No one should have gotten hurt. No one, especially one of us.
“Dearly departed,” Began the priest. “We are gathered here today for the funeral of Robert Williams.”
I had killed him; my best friend was dead because of me. I was the one who came up with the plan. I was the on who had set the yarn on fire too close to the door. I was the one who didn’t try to get him out.
It was all my fault.
“I did it!” I screamed from the railing of the bridge. “It’s all my fault! I did it all!”
People were staring at me.
“I killed Rob!”
That was the last thing I had ever said; the last breath I had ever took.
It was all over in a matter of seconds. My death and Rob’s.
I killed both of us.
