great idea.
i like the simple color scheme.. i think its adds alot in this highly dynamic piece.
i love the motion.
the swords having a moutha nd expression also adds alot in my mind, helps with the mood and all
all the pirate and skull stuff on the guys is also very cool and helps give him a background for the viewer to imagine
its also a very good juxtaposition to the ?pumpkin? guy in the santa suit!

heh, I can see what you mean, it does look like the top view of a head, with the tip looking like a long nose right? But nope that's a tongue.

Actually, I was seeing it more like a front-view of the face, with the whole tounge as the forehead with the long tip as a long straight nose. The eyebrows arching down into a stren expression. The folds in the bottom beak as an old, weathered eye with frown folds... and the whole beak itself as a sort of helmet.
A Man-eating parrot, or an old hard-nosed Parrot-Knight?
I don't know why that area is drawing my attention so.

dude, come on, seed and I were not like this from the our early days, and besides you all ready have us hands down on pencils allready. So while we might have the colors down well enough, I do know you have pencils down, and colors are right there as well. It's just going to take time to improve. I'm penciling my brains out now, color your brains out now. we'll meet each other on the cross roads for sure. :]

well I started coloring in 2001 and now it's 2005. Usually for me it take about 4 years to see major improvement. But that's me I'm pretty lazy.
