Description
Fun Fact: If the witch in this picture doesn't quite look the way you remember her from the film it's because I did this from a photo out of the Richard Thorpe era in Oz. Richard Thorpe was one of the many directors of this film whose work on the film was scrapped and he was replaced later on. The witch in his era wore her hair down covering her ears rather than up in a bun as we remember and at this point she only wore the prosthetic nose. It wasn't until later that they gave her the elongated chin as well. Also Dorothy's dress and hair style are slightly different. At this point they were going for what they called the "Lolita Look", which was scrapped for a more innocent, childlike appearance.Pen & ink.

I'm glad they put Dorothy's hair in pigtails, they seem a little more lolita than the curls actually
Nice use of shadows.
