In 2013, we started a project called "MyWeekThroughArt" and over 1,300 Journals were submitted. Some continued to post Journals over the following weeks, and some even continued it for many months. This week, we're bringing it back!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Simply post a Journal entry with three deviations that represent your week (or your week to come).

  • Start a new Journal entry
  • Using the "Add Media" sidebar, search DeviantArt for three deviations that represent your week and then place them in your Journal (for example, if you went on a date this week, one of your deviations might depict two people having dinner).
  • At the end of your Journal, add a link back to this Journal and challenge several friends. Copy and paste the following text:
    "This was MyWeekThroughArt. How was yours , @deviant1, @deviant2, and @deviant3?"
  • Title your Journal "MyWeekThroughArt" and submit it!

    Have one  MyWeekThroughArtThis week I binge played Mystic Messenger, like the awesomely amazing person I am.. 
    First I went down Yoosungs route (that poor kid, I'd eat him alive) 

    Then I went down Zen's route.. and he's not so bad later on, but holy shit.. conceited much?

    After that I said fuck this shit let's go for Jumin.. but 707 was too much fun.. so down that rabbit hole we went..

    So, I really had to go through Jumin's route too because come on.. it's Jumin!

    I did it!  However, I couldn't make the "deviant1 " etc. work as links to tag.  I typed the @, then the deviant's user name, but as you can see, no link.  Can you tell me what I did wrong?  

    MyWeekThroughArtI've been sick.  Sick enough to stay out of school, which probably made my students happy until they realized I was out for 3 days and that meant WRITTEN, GRADED work instead of playing their instrument....

    If you want to link to another DA user, you have two options. The first is to type (devusername) and enclose them in colons instead of the parenthesis. So I could link you as (devmeregoddess) but with the colons, it shows up as meregoddess

    Second, you can link to a DA user's avatar by typing (iconusername) and use colons as well. So (iconmeregoddess) is

    Remember: don't forget the colons at the beginning and the end! Just replace the parenthesis symbols that I used for colons instead! I hope it's clear enough, I have a tendency to over explain concepts.

    This is my tiny week through art

    It's Friday and danlev asked me how I was my week in form of arts.

    This week I had to start working in the early morning often. Sometimes I just stood outside and looking at the stars in the cold nightsky

    I had quite a discussion with my mom but for some reason we both didn't know of what we were discussing so loudly

    After stressful days at work I could let my steam off at everyone. But for some days there's a little orange-white kitten from the neighbour at my yard. He's really a sweet and playful one
