Rhydd loosed another arrow into the knot of an oak, imagining it was the eye of a darkspawn.

"Did you see that?" Morrigan was looking intently at a tree.

Rhydd frowned. "See what?" Someone was going to be the target of Morrigan's acerbic observations and Rhydd did not wish it to be him.

"Surely your elf eyes cannot have failed to notice," Morrigan continued. "The moss on that tree has grown even as we've stood here."

Rhydd let himself relax. "Whatever shall we do?"

Morrigan looked thoughtful. "If we wait long enough the Crows may yet send us a better assassin."
