Wow! So alien and surreal and yet so familiar! There are so many things we can do with a human body in art to make it original. This one is paradoxical because it feels so relate-able and intimate and yet it's obscure and visually noisy. It's like a human soul lost in a sea of emotion, or a person in a crowd of strangers. That is what I take away from this anyway. What was your feeling when you painted it?

Hey Rebecca, thanks, you made me smile Mostly frustration I was feeling I would say. I felt like head butting the thing half way through hence the mass of texture. If you haven't seen already, there is a link to a video of this being painted. I go a little nuts with it at about the 3 minute mark.
