Description
"The loudest scream is the one that only you can hearsubtitles for the voiceacting
"the time has come, for you to feel everything that I feel, to feel everything that you've done to me"
"this is where you fall"
edit: was going to ad a few more tweened elements but i'm rendering this on the equivalent of a pack of gum with an Apple logo on it. I'll save more for later animations

____________
Ok, this project was a much larger project than I initially intended. Went from 'oh this wont be so long' to 'well crap, thats 32 seconds of animation in 3 weeks'.
Now for the story behind this animation in terms of content:
Syron , this guy right here ( Syron the Fox (2014) ) , is a character that is rooted in Sound-based mechanics. The main kicker in his story is the superweapon integrated with his body, the 5 stage synthetic gem nicknamed the Calamity Diamond. It consists of 4 pieces, and a core, and the wavelengths stack to change syron, as designed by this father, the primary antagonist in the story. Combining all 5 pieces, the core of the gem actually being the protrusion on Syron's chest, activates the superweapon. (more on this in a sec).
For each diamond piece Syron recovers in an attempt to get to them before Kaius, his father, does, he gains an ability with a different Hylex Crystal formation which also represents a different genre of music.
• 1st component (syron himself) - considered a balanced mode, with access to basic sound abilities and shield mode, signified by Electro and Glitch Hop rhythm patterns
• 2nd component - Grants the ability to use Pulse and Hayabusa mode, signified by Trance, and upbeat electro
• 3rd component - Grants the ability to use Gauntlet mode (where the crystals form giant knuckles) signified by Dubstep
• 4th Component - Grants the ability of Dragonfly mode (hypersonic movement and flight) Signified by Drum and bass
•The 5th component activates what you see in the above animation. Syron's organic body disintegrates and begins formation of Hylexus, the Titan of Sound, the superweapon aforementioned. The process fires a crystal pillar down from the moon, welding it to the Surface of the planet below, and over the span of a month, Syron evolves into a towering crystal entity at the control of Kaius (which Syron is eventually separated from in the Finale), However, this formation Also known as Butterfly Mode , has no 'going back' ability, and once the core of the calamity diamond runs out of power, either by destroying and subverting the planet's crust below in it's final protocol, or failing in the process, Syron dies, as the life force disappears and there is no longer any organic structure left of his body.
Butterfly formation is also signified by the pinnacle of music genres in terms of emotion and power - Classical/Orchestral
This is also technically a 'draw it again' piece of this :STF: Superform - Hylexus which isnt even 4 years old. however it wasn't until now that I could properly convey the impact and consequences implied by Syron becoming Hylexus in the first place.
___________________
This piece also means alot to me as I've gone through alot in the past 3 weeks, hitting rock-bottom depression, and then turning everything around mentally in a week, and realizing that life holds way too much for me to feel sad all the time, and that i'm my own man, and I am the one who can change everything. That's empowering as hell amirite?
So vent art, to triumph art! Not bad, not bad.
Thanks everyone for your comments and such on the work in progresses. Still image can be seen here! Prints available! (larger sizes soon)

Vision: What can I say, you don't only have tremendous vision but your execution is just phenomenal when materializing it. It is truly magnificent.
5/5 - 10/10
Originality: Everything, as character goes, seems quite original and the very transformation. How ever I would have had rather you've gotten yourself a sound artist to moderate and even generate original sounds like the constant power chirps and the DBZ sounds. The chirps eventually become jarring (using head phones) and can hurt a little, not much but some what it wont allow me to stay for long. I know it might be the point to be silly and give it a sense of tribute. How ever I try to see new things and uniqueness. The came across as distracting, which is a shame when you've put this much work into it.
4/5 8/10
Technique: I would have rather the final product would be the character more relaxed with his new form rather than have stayed stiff and charging his power up for the rest of the loop but now that I see it better it's a good pose none the less, I just feel like it could use an ending. Speaking of which, something I like is when the loop is not noticeable, some carelessly leave the loop end and beginning to different but in here it's a constant flow-y movement. the colors are impacting, well moderated, particle effects whimsical and moderate. Everything seems in order. I sorta enjoyed the fact that his voice changes and I cant understand what he said after it became super muffled but that adds to the intensity so I don't complain about it
4/5 - 8/10
Impact: the sequence was amazing and it gave me the eagerness and wish to see this guy succeed and move on to the next part of the battle and I don't even know who this is. that speaks a lot when you can just get a person super hyped up.
4.5/5 - 9/10

i think this is a fair critique of metamorphosis as I was aware of alot of these issues when making it (most of which were improved in later animations)
Since making this, I've gotten a huge indexed sfx library so no more of those dooky weeb sound effects xD.
As far as your final form statement, it turns out, that while that might be the final form for the animation, that actually isn't it. It's just a capture of the beginning sequence of it. Then again, that's something burried in lore that isn't well brushed upon yet.But i totally see what you mean.
If i had more resources and time to really push into this, I would have added more elements to make it have a longer take and a solid ending to the animation sequence. Might revisit it in the future.
Also, a year later I totally can't understand the voicework i did either, which may have been a good indicator that i needed subtitles. However since this I have also learned alot about voice balancing (see the animation labelled Standby).
That said, if i managed to get someone hyped about a character they know nothing about during a sequence like this, I think i did my jerb xD.
Thanks for the great critique, this will help me improve alot in the future

: D I'm glad I could help. I figured you would have had moved on after this project and gotten better but it was just amazing and just couldn't reserve myself. And well, remember, everything in it's place, I don't mind ''dooky weeb'' effects as long as you're not trying to be too serious but since this was so amazing and original, you know XD I mean when you connect the moon and the planet with a crystal tower in a manner of seconds you just know things are serious! I figured that their's lots of lore behind it but I just focus on what I have so far. In regards to the voice I don't mind much (unless the words are relevant to the plot) but if you wish to add subtitles make sure they don't distract, you're flash animations are already on a small screen. I'm glad I could be of help, I've been learning from your work oh so very much as well, I look forward for more : D!!! Keep it up!

This animation feels powerful and intense as well. It almost gives anyone a feel of the whole "It's over 9000!!!" thingy. Amazing work!
Although I almost feel bad for Syron Grey, I mean, the whole Butterfly Mode you mentioned there sounds powerful yet tragic at some point. I'm usually not a fan of stories where the main characters or someone else dies in the end but I still understand that not all stories have to have happy endings and such.
Oh well, it still an amazing work nonetheless. Keep it up.
