Description
Mites, while small in size, can cause quite a bit of damage when they gather in swarms. Even though they're small in size, they are extremely fast, and can burrow and hide in the ground waiting to surprise their enemy. Mites are especially dangerous against large vehicles, because not only can they dig large sinkholes that can trap a moving vehicle, Mites can also latch onto an object and self detonate. Hence why they're dangerous in large numbers. I had a ton of fun making these little guys, because as soon as a finally gotten the design to be what I wanted, I immediately wanted to make more. That and the fact each Mite consists of only 14 pieces. I'd say they're pretty cheap to make. What do you guys think about the Mites? Sound off in the comments below.Related content

If they can explode then I'd say even a single one is quite dangerous.
(I can't figure out what that headpiece is from... how very un-lego.)

Yeah I really wanted these guys to pack a wallop when they strike. It is funny you should mention the headpiece. Before going with what you saw earlier, what represented the spiky spines on the Mites back were just some 1X1 cheese wedge pieces. While that looked "fine" it didn't live up to my standards. Thats when a good buddy of mine gave me the parts you see now. That piece actually came from a Chima set last year. I believe it was called the flying phoenix temple or something like that. Normally I cringe at the very thought of using bionicle pieces, but in this case I made an exception to mypet peeve.
