Reflection in the mirror
Of a girl full of pain
Eyes red
Tears streaming down her face
Staring at a picture that sits there
Matt
Her brother and best friend til the end
His cd\'s are playinag in the background
Phone rings
A weak \"hello\" as she answers it
It\'s Liz
They talk
The sound of anotehr voice
Soothing her raw feelings some
But Liz has to go
The phone slides down
To the sounds of a steady
Beep, Beep
The tears fall harder
She\'s alone again
The two she counted on most
Not there to take care of her
She needs out of the house
Away from the memories
Nervous laughter
As she shudders
Sighs, and cries more
\"Stupid weakness\"
Barely audible
As she wipes at the teares
Wishing they\'d stop
But they won\'t
So she writes through blurry eyes
Thoughts racing through her mind
As much pain as he\'s caused
She finds it impossible to hate him
All she wants is her brother back
But she can\'t have him
Not for 30 days
She hates him
But she loves him
Misses him
And the tears fall for him
As she looks at the picture
And cries
Because he\'s in jail
For 30 more days.
