My Scrambly plugin:

In this pack you find holesq (why not trying it to create more effects? It is linear in most parts of the plane but carves a hole then you can fill it with stuff fav.me/dcnz9g4

Easy tutorial on how to create from scratch the easiest possible square tiling: (Ignore or not the rest of the tutorial by Silvia)
Follow the method 1, scrambly needs a tiling centered in the origin! (or else you must move it around )

My tutorial on how to create from scratch composite square tilings: (the same thing, but takes some more time depending on how many squares you stuff in)

Some "difficult" square tilings, you can also simplify them a little:

Thanks for tutorial, my result is very far from what you talking about. But this tutorial good for example and future fractals, thanks a lot.

I always wondered how you guys do those tiled fractals. Think I have now a big chance to try it out
I know there's much stuff from tatasz , you and many more but was too lazy to set it up. No excuses now.
Thanks for your wonderful contribution Luca! Hope it will help a lot of people!

Me too Jorge, this framework is one of the most flexible ever and subtle variants lead to great results... You cannot run out of ideas with linear tiles yay
