Description
This is a very random drawing I made to test my new prismacolor pencils I recieved as agift from my girlfriend. I still need some practice, as you know, until now all my drawings have been made only with pencil and ink. Also the type of paper I used in this one is not suitable for working with colored pencils. Your colors really add to the visceral nature of the artwork. Not sure what paper you are using now but either a heavy weight vellum bristol paper or illustration board would probably work better. When working with prismacolor pencils I would always grind the pigment into the paper and regular drawing paper would stretch out in places and leave little wrinkles and it work drive me crazy.

Well, for all my years I've working on bond paper. It worked good for me and my pen drawings, but is a bit bad for the color pencils. The other day I bought a Canson Mix Media pad and a Bristol too, I made some drawings and I fell in love with them. The difference is clearly noticeable.

Hi, yes, I have one or a few. If you can, yes, change the kind of paper that you're using but if you want a smoother surface, perhaps go over your paper stock with some gesso and wait until 24 hours until it cures completely and then work in your pencils. When it comes to pencils, I love prismacolor but they're wax base and can't layer as well as oil based pencils (I use Polychromos) and sometime alternative between the two but there are products that can help you as well. Go to www.brushandpencil.com for their blender and fixative productss -that's if you're going to get into it that deep.

For now I'm fine with the prismacolor pencils 
A few days ago I bought a couple of Canson drawing pads (Bristol and Mix Media), I made some drawings and the difference is really huge!! haha I think I will working on that type of paper from now on. Also I heard a blender was very important so I find the derwent ones and works perfect for me

You're welcome. Yes, Polychromes are worth it despite it can be pricey at times. If you can't find any where you live then I say try ordering online. Bristol heh? Now, that I'm not familiar with so there's something I will have to check out. When I started, I thought paper was just paper but no, I was so wrong. Surface, stock, and texture is everything and can make or brake a work. Anyway, hehe, thanks and nice to talk to you. Best of luck.

it would be pretty easy to run away from him haha
But that poor guy is just a host, at some point the creature will detach from him and may roam freely
So the monster would be sad now, but later will be very happy infecting other people with their larvae
