“Finally! I have finished my new machine; the shrink ray” Tails had put away the spanner he had just used and looked at his work in appreciation. ‘I only hope that it works.” He aimed the shrink ray at an old chair in the middle of the room. He typed in a size on the control panel. “1centermetre should be small enough.” Tails checked the aim again to make sure he didn’t miss. Tails lifted a little glass lid and pushed a big red button. The machine started to wobble. Jets of steam shot out from all sides and black smoke started to come out of the end. There was a big ‘CLANG’ inside the machine and it stopped. Tails got straight up and ran toward his blueprints. “How could I have done wrong? Everything was perfect. What did I do wrong?” in his anger Tails walk up in front of the shrink ray and kicked it. Tails turned around and started to walk towards the door. The shrink ray started to wobble again. Tails slowly turned around as a green jet of light shot out from the end and hit him. Everything went white and Tails passed out.

When Tails woke up he was on the floor. He looked up and saw that the room was several metres above him. He looked straight and saw the shrink ray in front of him but it was way bigger than he had built it in fact, everything around him was bigger than usual. Tails looked around and saw a giant ruler across the room. He ran towards it and measured himself. “Oh no! I’m only 1centremetre tall.” There were loud sounds coming from outside the door. Tails hid and watched as a giant Cosmo walked in. “He’s not in here either.” Cosmo started to turn around and walk out when Tails started to yell to get her attention. It didn’t work and she walked out. Tails started to fly but only got off a couple of millimetres before falling down. “Why can’t I fly?” The thought of him being unable to fly all of a sudden struck him as odd. “Guess ill have to run from now on.” Tails ran toward the door. As he got closer he realised that he was just small enough to squeeze underneath.

Tails looked left and right but saw no one. “Cosmo might be in the lounge room.” Trying to run as fast as he could, Tails finally got to the lounge room and saw Cosmo on the couch just sitting there. “COSMO!” Tails yelled over and over as he ran towards her but she didn’t notice. He was right in front of her on the floor but she didn’t even turn her head. Tails started to fly but fell down again. “Oh yeah, I forgot I can’t fly.” The only way he could possibly get her attention was to get to her ear which he wasn’t 100% sure where that was. He climbed onto Cosmo’s shoe and started to walk across to her legs. When he got there, he saw there were lots of tiny little holes in the stockings on her legs. “At least I can climb up.” He stuck his hand I one of the wholes and lifted himself of Cosmo’s shoe. About 3 quarters of the way up the leg, Tails got to her skirt. The skirt was hanging to him 3 metres away but really it was only 3centermetres. He couldn’t fly towards it so he decided the only way was to keep going straight.

Tails got to the top of her kneecap and looked straight. He couldn’t see much because it was quite dark. Tails started to walk forwards before Cosmo started to get up. Tails quickly dived forward and grabbed on the stocking. Cosmo stood up straight and started to walk towards her bedroom. Tails heard her open the door and walk in. Cosmo sat on the bed and lifted her legs up on top. She lied down and fell asleep. Tails waited to make sure that she wasn’t going to get back up. After a couple of seconds he got back up and started to walk again. A little bit of the light from the bedroom window shone through Cosmo’s dress so Tails could see ahead of him. He continued to walk through until he got to her waist. He climbed up on top of her belly and walked up and saw the two hills that to him were like mountains which he thought of it as rude to stare so he continued to walk in between them toward her neck.

He climbed out from underneath Cosmo’s dress and walked up her neck. He stopped below her chin and tried to think of a way to get up. “Well I can’t climb up because there’s nothing to grab on to and it’s on an angle going out as well.” “If I could just fly that little bit high like the first time I might b able to get up.” Tails got ready and started to spin his tails as fast as he could. He started to sweat. Tail’s tails started to lift him. He opened his eyes and saw that he was just a little bit higher than Cosmo’s chin. He moved forward and landed on her chin. Tails lay on his back puffing for air. Now he was finally up to her head this was his chance to get her to help him get back to his normal size.

In the excitement, Tails ran towards Cosmo and forgot about her mouth. As he ran his foot got stuck between Cosmo’s lips. Cosmo started to yawn. She opened her mouth and Tails fell in. When she closed her mouth she swallowed. Tails slide down her throat into her stomach. As Tails laid there he started to cry. “I was so close. Why did I have to get so excited?” Tails looked up and watched as Cosmo’s stomach rumbled and growled. “No, I refuse to give up when I’m so close.” Tails got to his feet and walked to the side of Cosmo’s stomach and looked up and saw the long throat he had fell through. He started to climb once more up her stomach up her throat.

The wavy like walls of Cosmo’s throat helped Tails get climb up but they were still slippery. He got up in her mouth and watched as her mouth opened and closed as she breathed. He started to climb up her tongue until he was standing on the tip of her tongue. He looked up and saw Cosmo’s lips were not that far away. Tails started to think of a plan but as he started, Cosmo pushed her tongue out of her mouth and lick her lips. Tails acted as fast as he could and jumped off and landed on her cheek. He got up and walked slowly towards the bud in Cosmo’s head which he is sure is her ear. He jumped off her head and stood on the pillow that her bud lay upon. He walk towards the bud and trying not to startle her, whispered “Cosmo.” She opened her eyes and sat up so quickly that Tails didn’t have time to stop himself fall forwards. Cosmo looked around but saw nothing so she laid back down again. Tails dived out of the way to avoid being crushed by Cosmo’s head. Tails tried again but tried to explain as well. Tails moved up against the bud again and said quickly. “Cosmo don’t move.” Cosmo opened her eyes again but did not move. “Tails? Is that you?” Tails replied “Yes. Slowly sit up and look down on the pillow.” Cosmo obeyed and sat up. She looked down on the pillow and saw the tiny Tails. She stared at him for several seconds and fainted.

When Cosmo regained consensus, Tails was standing in front of her eyes. She sat up again and picked Tails up. She put tails towards her bud and listened to what Tails needed her to do. “In my workshop there is a new machine I created in the middle of the room…” While Tails explained, Cosmo made her way towards the workshop listening to everything Tails said. When she finally got to the workshop she did what Tails had told her to do. Cosmo turned the shrink ray into a growth ray. She placed Tails in the centre of the room and aimed the growth ray at him. She lifted the glass lid and pushed the big red button. A red jet of light came out the end and hit Tails. Tails instantly grew back to his normal size. He straight away ran towards the bench and got out a bat and started to smash the growth ray to make sure that it never happened again. “Thank you Cosmo.” He said and walked over to her and kissed her.
