As seen on Tumblr!Yeah extremely random. I wanted to draw Hiccup as a kid and then I took a crack at drawing toothless as well... Not too bad for a first real try... Still got a long ways to go before anything will ever be refined...
I just really enjoyed some of the early concept work for the movie and attempted to draw it but more towards my style... I wanted it to be more cartoony... but I kind of fail at that. But I'm glad because it creates a style all its own... somehow...
Changing the color of the lineart will change the whole picture... Half of these sketches I'm not sure what's happening but some are based on the book?

I don't really know why people think Hiccup has red hair.
I mean, it's a brilliant drawing, but Hiccup's hair is actually brown with a red hint to it.

His hair is brown. I think the colored lines are affecting how the tint appears.
