Considering that we're getting an episode where Barry heads to the future, I wouldn't be surprised if the one past Barry sees is a version of himself who has become the blue Flash.

Would be interesting to see Savatar be Barry from the future. But then again Savatar is an entirely different character from future Barry...who needless to say is a bit of a jerk.

Adaptations tend to merge characters together a lot for the sake of story-telling. Case in point: the show's version of Zoom was a composite of Hunter Zolomon and The Rival from the comics. So who knows?...

Yeah, but the Rival in the show was a pretty disposable character in the grand scheme. You could've honestly replaced him with any other speedster and it wouldn't have made a difference.
