I use to use GIMP and had no idea you could achieve awesome texture like this without some fancy program. Could never make metal shine OTL Amazing, I might try it

In my version of Gimp there isn't a, Filters/Noise/Noise generator option in the Noise filters menu.

I didn't have it also in my version, but it is a plugin. Found a 32 bits windows version on
[link] .
Worked for me on the latest Gimp v2.8.2.

Even so, it would have been nice if the creator of this tutorial would have mentioned/included it in the tutorials description. Instead this 'critical' piece of information was left for those reading the tutorial to figure it out on their own as I did.
