I'm not kidding about JJ-Prise's shields. I can't say I remember them being important in STXI, and in Into Darkness they existed only in words, otherwise nope. TOS Enterprise actually had shields, since she survived incredible hits at times.

Depends - is the Secondprize still equipped with augments in torpedoes? If so, they have a kick-arse boarding party that'll rip through original redshirts like a chainsaw through butter... If they can bring the Enterprise's shields down, which they might be able to do, since their turrets are highly plot-powered too.
Thinking about it, the Secondprize's systems have to be plot-powered. They have a beer factory as their main engineering, so unless they want to fire booze at the enemy, they need to use the power of plotting!
