Well, this started out as on homage to an artist, but I'm not so sure I succeed like I wanted. I like the image but I'm not sure it really pays a tribute to the man I wanted it to. I think I put too much 'me' into it. But I still like it so I'm posting it.It was in honor of the influence that Frank Frazetta had in my work. While his themes are not ones I always do, his tones, shading, and lighting were always things I thought about each time I do an image.
Anyway, he's dead now so here is my homage to Frank. So let me point out a few things....
1) The tribute has alot of me in it, I know. But it's still done in his honor.
2) Is the snake in the background a distraction? Well if it is you obviously haven't noticed the FUCKING HOT NAKED CHICK standing in front of it.
3) And what the hell is she holding onto? Don't ask me, I just work here.

I'd hope it has a lot of you in it and I'm sure Frank does too. At least I'm assured he does by his ghost who took up residence here a few weeks back.
And the background wasn't really a distraction till you pointed it out though looking at the picture now it adds a whole interesting aspect of vore to the atmosphere as the snake seems to be considering if she'd taste good or not.

Fantastic colours! It has a real strong burnished look to it. Golds, reds, bronze(s), browns. Very much like a fantasy picture often has actually. While not actually so, I can see elements of Conan here, purely because of the colours (and not just because snakes feature prominently in the movies). There is a post-apocalyptic feel to it too. As if things went tits up long ago and society has somehow survived, going into an alternate medieval setting. Still pretty lawless, not so much kings and realms but more like tribes. Here and there traces of technology from before still exist and work but they are not something that can be copied and manufactured. It is a mix of various Ages.
I love the look of the girl. Her muscles, her large but naturally proportioned boobs, her eyes and hair colour. She has an overall auburn look which goes well with her tanned skin (which has a nicely erotic sweaty sheen to it, probably from being out in the sun and kicking ass). Her loincloth is erotic because there is nothing underneath. It is still rather easy to see her little gem under the right circumstances (or a strong gust of wind) and yet she doesn't truly care that much.
She has a very defiant and dedicated look to her too. As if she is good at what she does and believes in what she is doing. Mess with her and her blades will give you the haircut of a lifetime.

This one was one of my favorites to work on. I wanted to get that barbarian skin tone and feel. I never did a skin tone like this before and wasn't sure I could pull it off. But I figured if I tried hard enough I could do it. I want to do another one. In fact I'm working on an Andromeda image right now, she doesn't have quite the same skin tones, but it goes along the fantasy theme that I've been in the mood to do lately. But I want to do more blended genres like you noticed, a mix of old and new, like post apocalyptic, but maybe on some other world in another universe.

Believe it or not, it didn't surprise me that you knew Frazetta's work, and like it, and that this picture was a homage to him
You managed to recreate the atmosphere he liked to have, I suppose mainly through the colours you use, and her attitude (hmmm you like girls with attitude, don't you?

Frank Frazetta, was not an artist I knew by name. But his work seems incredibly familiar.
Epic, otherworldly, a bit anchient or of a distant time, slightly primal, and at times with hot chick you depicte so well.
Rarely do I have any negative thoughts regarding you work. But from one artist to another, in terms of achieving homage. I would say the weapon like arm pieces you mentioned might be a little distracting. From the work I have seen of Franks, it might compliment better to have her seductively embracing the snake, not in an erotic way just that she is fearless and see's the snake as her companion or ally.
The girl herself is perfect, as a piece of work and for what you were trying to achieve.
Great lighting, very complimentary of Frank. The chain link loin cloth is perfection.
Maybe slightly more clothing or accessories, staying true to yourself. Not covering the best parts, but complimenting the rest. Similar to how you use Talons tattoos. A supportive breast plate below the boobs would be cool, in a similar fashion to the shin plating.
Again all constructive critism.
I love it regardless. And I think you would do Frank proud, a uniquely different flavor, similar but different at the same time.

Well it is the thought that counts, It screams Darthhell, but I understand the pose and scene as Frank.. I worked in a pizza place that had his art work everywhere so I have seen literally all of his works..
Maybe some day I will be as good to pay tribute to such a great artist.

LOL, thank you. Yeah and I didn't want people to think I was trying to put myself into the same classification as him, he was a great artist. I just wanted to pay tribute to a great man who influenced me alot. But I'm glad you were able to find elements of his style in it.
