Yes, I'm a My Little Pony G2 fan. Even if the toys looked really different from the original generation, I liked them. When I was young, I had only G2 toys, and I'm a little bit nostalgic when seeing them. I know they aren't really popular, but I wanted to make a little stamp.Because I would have loved a G2's (also know as Friendship Gardens) cartoon.

I think G2 never had a cartoon because it failed massively in the US... don't know why Europe didn't make a cartoon, though...
Though, we can imagine it by looking at old G1 episode box art using G2 character designs... we can also guess it would have been called "My Little Pony: Friendship Gardens."

Not a big fan of the toys though I feel like if I'd seen a cartoon of them I would like them at least a bit better.

I love the g2 toys, never owned a lot sadly, and stuff that I owned mostly went lost due to my youngness XD, most complete set I still own from when I truley was young is Queen sundance's throne, only lost the comb but the rest is still there

I dislike every generation EXCEPT G2, and I've started collecting MOC/MIB toys from that generation! I had the Dainty Dove wedding chapel as a kid and I just bought it in mint condition and I'm so happy!

Its my favourite gen as well
I like G4, mainly because the cartoon is pretty fun to watch, but yeah, I can understand why you don't like them, their design are pretty weird
(and G3 1/2... I don't think anyone loves them XD. I don't know much about them, so I can't really see why ^^ )

I will admit the toys didn't appeal to me much. -But- The art for it / I owed the PC game 'friendship gardens' when I was younger, I do like. So guess you can say I grew up on the animation of the PC game XD. That appeals to me more then the toys, so I agree with you when ya say there should be a G2 cartoon as the animation would be nice <3
As for Clever clover fro what I saw in the previous comments..I thought he was a girl! XD He looks no different in my opinion to the girl's shape. So.. I called him 'gender confused' XD Its like poor Sports time in G1 'he' is meant to be a 'boy' but, due to an error, has no hair on his hooves and in 'girl' type pose, hes mistaken for a girl. Poor Boy XD

In fact, all the G2 ponies (well, the toys at least, I never played the game so I can't tell) looks like the same, and there is no real difference between boys and girls, so when I say I've always thought Clever Clover was a male, it was really just the way I saw him XD (don't know if I'm clear)... A lot of ponies are mistaken for girls/boys when they aren't ^^"

Yeah, I mean I showed one friend of mine who guessed clever clover as a girl and when I said it was a boy she was surprised. Yet when I showed him to another friend, she instantly said it was a boy XD
So you are right in saying, its 'how he is seen' XD I do agree though, that you can get mixed up / mistaken, silly ponies XD

Yes. While my big sis grew up with G1 videos-and for some reason 'Tales' slipped- I grew up with G2. I watched my sis's mlp stuff when I was little and since I was a massive flee market visitor at a very young age I could get myself some G2. My very own pony line! I knew my sister had more variety in ponies and had better quality, as my ponies would lose their 'gems' while G1 Twinkle eyed ponies had them glued on bigtime. Still, I was charmed by those overly cheery happy faces of G2.
My fav ponies where Trixie Belle, Princess Crystal and Clever Clover. (It was since recent mlp interest that I came to know Clover is a guy, haha.)
G1 - successfull
G2 - unsuccessfull
G3 - successfull
G3.5 - unsuccessfull
G4 - successfull.
This seems to be the pattern.

Clever Clover is a guy? Wow, then I guessed it right! He was one of my favourite toys, and for me, before I knew the name and gender of the ponies, he was a guy xD.
G1 toys were really cool, with more variety and better quality, but I'll always love my G2

Yes and I depicted ''her'' as a tomboy in my playtime. Probably due to the short hair and that cap. I loved to comb ''her'' because it was one big curl.

YES! They should have. And it'd probably be about the main ponies, like Sweetberry, Light Heart, Morning Glory, Ivy and so on. And with cameos by Silver Swirl and Crystal and Twinkle Star! I would have quite liked that.
(And how come so many people think Tales is G2? G2 was quite a few years later than Tales.

It's because of the DVD box set. On the front covers, it showed Gen 2 ponies on MLP Tales DVD set which caused the confusion amongst the fans. Why? I don't know but I can guess that they're trying to promote the Gen 2 toys or something.

Nope. It was G1.5, actually. G2 ponies had a really different design from the G1 ones (you can read about different generations here => [link] )

Technically, it was still considered G1. Tales was made in 1992. G2 wasn't introduced until 1997.

G2 was (is) my favorite too!!! I think the same, there really should've a cartoon. There was a cartoon for all generations except g2. G2 is really underrated, I don't understand why people don't like it. It's so cute!Β
